August 13, 2005    -    Miss Mable’s Tea Room

Catpurrrnium (Debbie) was “Queen for the Day” and planned an elegant afternoon for us at Miss Mable’s Tea Room in Dickson.  When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was our name on the marquee (blackboard) at the entrance.  The litter who wanted to have fun today were:  Cleopurrrtra, Queen of De’Nile (Faye), Miss Kitty (Miss Kitty), Scarlet O’Katta, Queen of Vices (Vonnie), Princess Purrrsian Kitti (Christi), Sassy Kat Woman (Shawn), Lady Felina (Vivian), Catpurrrnium (Debbie), Lady Sophistakat (Tracey), and Dutchess Aristakat (Amy).  We saw lots of half sisters visiting the tea room today also!!

Miss Mable’s was a beautifully decorated tea room which was like a nostalgic retreat.  Most of us ordered the full afternoon tea which was delightful.  Lady Sophistakat and Princess Purrrsian kitti also enjoyed teapots of hot flavored tea.  The scones and jam were to die for and the pastries just downright sinful.  We had fun roaming through the tea room as we waited on each course to be served.  A beautiful butterfly theme decorated the stairway which led to specialty gift shops upstairs that we really enjoyed browsing in.  Lots and lots of chatter took place as we relaxed in our cozy private dining room.  We learned about wu wu’s and winky’s (had to be there!) and that many of our litter loved chocolate.

Before leaving, we had to check out the tea room across the street, “Mrs. Pott’s Playhouse and Children’s Tea Room”.  That “lost” little girl inside each of us came out.  There was miniature wicker furniture, a dress up/makeup room and a stage to model your new look.

Kountess Catnip was sickly today.  Hope you are purring again in no time!!!

Catpurrrnium topped off the day with a gorgeous gift bag for each of us (we really are a spoiled bunch) filled with a red hat magnet and picture frame.  This was another wonderful day for our Fristers (friends/sisters).  A BIG MEOW to you, Catpurrrnium, for making us Kats and Kittens feel sooooooo special!!!!!
