May 21, 2010  -Disc Golf and Dinner

Queen Cleo planned a fun Friday night of awesome disc-golf action.  We had such a great time together all supporting each other as we learned to throw a disc and become Disc-Divas.  It was fun walking and chatting and such great exercise for FREE.  Teams of three golfers were determined and we played a “best disc scramble”.  Our goal was to get the disc in the cage in as few throws as possible.  Driving is the only dangerous aspect of disc golf – and we yelled “fore” a few times to innocent children playing in the park!!!

We then headed to Tom’s Blue Moon Bar-B-Q restaurant where we enjoyed some great food and fun.  Queen Cleo had cupcakes for us for dessert and a gift bag with lotion and soap dispensers.  Thanks to Joey Jaguar, Tony the Tiger and Jungle Jim for not laughing at us, for being so patient and showing us what throwing a disc should look like, for not correcting us when we used the “F” word, in this case calling the disc a  Frisbee, and for never saying that we “threw like a girl”.  Oh, and also for being our “caddies”. Guess we aren’t ready for the PDGA (Professional Disc Golf Assoc.) just yet!!!
