TRAIN EXCURSION

Dutchess AristaKat (Amy) was our Queen for the Day and planned a delightful train ride to Watertown, Tennessee for us.  Other Kats and Kittens who came to play today were Queen Cleopurrrtra (Faye), Princess ApriKat (Barbara), Sassy Kat Woman (Shawn), Princess Pink Panther (Brenda), Lady Felina (Vivian), Lady Glitter of the Litter (Sue), Kountess Katnip (Samantha), and Lady Siamese Kat (Debbie).  We celebrated a belated birthday for Lady Glitter, MEOW, MEOW.  After boarding the Tennessee Central Railway Train, we settled in to enjoy our train ride in very comfortable first class accommodations.  We enjoyed meeting another red hat group who were from Lawrenceburg.  We met lots of cute little children who enjoyed being entertained by our playfulness.  After a couple of hours ride, our train was stopped by the Wilson and Mackle gangs who were waitin’ out in the bad lands of Wilson County fer this dad-burned train to come chuggin along.  The gang and their “floozies” came aboard and robbed us of all our money.  Some of the gang was very handsome (well ok, only one), most were old men with bad teeth!!  This “loot” that we so generously gave on the train will be added to a scholarship fund for Watertown students.  Broke and hungry, we continued on to Watertown.

Watertown is the cutest little place with lots of fine restaurants and shops to visit.  We had a great lunch at “The Depot Junction Café” then off to do a little antique shopping.  The “gang” and the “floozies” performed skits and had a shoot out using real weapons (with blanks of course).  We laughed a lot and our Kats and Kittens joined in the fun.  The floozies wanted our hats!!  We enjoyed posing for pictures and being a part of this wonderful reenactment of a popular time in our history.

Dutchess AristaKat planned such a wonderful day for us.  Everyone had a chance to bond as there were several delays (they had to repair the train tracks) on our trip back to Nashville.  A big MEOW to Dutchess AristaKat for the adorable train suckers, and the precious little red hat duckies.    What a delightful day of fun - it was just Purrrrrfect!!
