May 27, 2006    -THE GOSSETT HOUSE

Princess Pink Panther (Brenda) was our Queen for the day and planned a fun trip for all of us to go to the The Gossett House in Portland, Tennessee.  Other Kats and Kittens who came to play today were Queen Cleopurrrtra (Faye), Ms.Kitty (Ms.Kitty), Princess ApriKat (Barbara), Sassy Kat Woman (Shawn), and Lady SophistaKat (Tracey).  We also had special guests today:  Lady Sarah (Queen’s mum), Dutchess Dorothy (Pink Panther’s mum), Dutchess Donna (Lady SophistaKat’s mum), and Princess Kathy (friend).  We celebrated a May birthday – a big MEOW to Dutchess Dorothy.

We arrived around 10:30 and stepped back in time to visit the Historic Gossett House.  Built in the 1800's, this Victorian house offered a relaxed atmosphere with friendly service, unique gifts, home decor, ladies boutique, children's apparel, antique furniture ... to mention a few.  During 2004, a major addition was undertaken to add more display rooms and the 5 Chefs restaurant where we dined on a delicious and relaxing lunch.

Princess Pink Panther spared no expense in planning this special day for her Fristers – Ronnie McDowell the famous singer/artist was also with us today.  We had our group picture made with him and each got an autographed pic of the Gossett House which he had painted.  We also met the Mayor of Portland.

While we were waiting on our food to arrive, Princess Pink Panther had several fun games for us to play.  We learned a lot about our Kats and Kittens!!  Dutchess Dorothy said we could easily change our name to the Liar’s Club!!!!  There were lots of prizes for the winners of the games and a unique gift for each of us.  Thank you Princess Pink Panther for planning a wonderful day – it was just Purrrrrfect!!
