  CHAFFIN’S BARN DINNER THEATRE

Princess Pink Panther (Brenda) planned a wonderful outing to Chaffin’s Barn Dinner Theatre.  Although it was a very icy, snowy nite, Lady Felina (Vivian) and Queen Cleopurrrtra (Faye) joined in for all the fun.  Also we invited TomKats to join us: Tony the Tiger, Don Juan and Jungle Jim.  Ms. Kitti showed up but forgot to bring her favorite TomKat!!!!  As usual we had a room full of admirers.  We had at least one person who wanted their picture made with us since we looked so HOT in our red and pink hats!

Located in a countryside setting just on the outskirts of Nashville, Chaffin’s Barn Dinner Theatre is family owned for 40 years.  This comfortable relaxed atmosphere offered a mouthwatering southern style buffet of a full salad bar, roast beef, lasagna, roasted chicken, catfish, beef burgundy, lots of veggies and wonderful homemade desserts.  After stuffing ourselves totally, we were ready to enjoy a Broadway style show, and find out who really wrote the Book of Love.  This romantic comedy was written by Nate Eppler and takes place in the 1940’s.  Simon Clay had written Modern Love, a how to guide for modern girls which was on the top of the bestsellers list.  But what the world didn’t know that its author, Rose Lavender, was really a handsome young bachelor.  When a reporter from New York Daily Magazine comes to interview him, he recruits his modern-woman-on-the-go sister to play the fictional and traditional Rose Lavender.  But the reporter from New York Daily Magazine is an attractive young woman, and sparks soon fly as she's too smart to be fooled by the ruse.

Princess Pink Panther had each of us the best surprise.  Each of the TomKats got a lottery scratch off card and Lady Felina and Queen Cleo received a bag of candy, specially blended tea and a little tea bag holder.  On the outside of each bag was an adorable picture and red hat pin.  We were impressed with the dinner and the show.  It had all the elements for an outstanding night of fun.  Thank you so much Princess Pink Panther for planning such a purrrrrfect nite out.
