Flower Tea Room The Queen Mother
welcomed Red and Pink Hat Secret Sisters to their first meeting of KATS in Red
and Pink Hats Club. She said, “Congratulations,
you have made the first move towards being a cat or kitten in our humble litter
by being here. This is a sisterhood,
here to support each other, laugh and have fun”. She introduced herself as
Faye, Cleopurrrtra Queen of De’Nile. She
introduced our Vice Queen mother Vonnie Hall, (Scarlet O’Katta) and our Mascot
Miss Kitty who will be attending all our functions. Also in attendance today: Gail Cocker (Madame Gi Gi), Samantha Bilbrey
(Kountess Katnip), Shawn Bilbrey (Sassy Kat Woman), Brenda Eggert (Pink
Panther), Vivian Evans (Lady Felina), Debbie Anderson (Catpurrrnium), Christi
Hall (Princess Purrsian Kitti), and Amy Newell (Dutchess Aristikat). A member information
sheet was handed out to each Kat and Kitten to be completed and posted on our
web page at http://blueridge-spi.com/katsinredhats/ Brenda volunteered to
be our Kitty photographer and will work with our Web Page Master Tony the Tiger
in getting the photos of each outing posted on the web page so you can download
photos. Most clubs keep a scrapbook – so
each of us refined ladies will maintain our own journal where mementos, photos,
napkins, invitations, memu’s etc. can be placed and at the end of the year we
will bring our scrapbooks for all to see. Each month we will have
a different Queen(s) of the day. It will
be your opportunity to plan that month’s activity and make all the
arrangements. A calendar was passed
around and everyone signed up as follows:
March (Madame GiGI), April (Kountess Katnip), May (Sassy Kat Woman),
June (Pink Panther), July (Lady Felina), August (Catpurrnium), September
(Princess Purrsian Kitti), October (Scarlet O’Katta) and November (Dutchess
Aristikat). Activities might be a tea
party, wine tasting, PJ Party, Boat Ride, Lunch, Dinner or whatever . . .
. just make it a very special day for your
secret sisters. If you need help feel
free to ask someone to help you. And, even
if it is not your month – feel free to spoil us by bringing a little surprise
if you find something cute. The next meeting we
will have a secret coronation of each member.
Birthdays will always
be a special day for our litter – Especially when you reach THE Birthday!! Today we had 3 February Birthday Kitty’s – We
gave a big MEOW to Samantha, Amy and Christi – MEOW. As we all dined on tea,
scones and a great lunch - a Toast was given by the Queen, “To my new secret
sisters, as we boogie forth together may you spend more time having fun and
take your silliness seriously. To US!” An official Red Hat
Society Book, which was autographed by all the Kats and Kittens was presented
to our Queen Mother. Doorprizes of fancy
purses and red kat jewelry boxes were won by members. Vivian shared pics of
her precious first grandchild Braden who was born in January. Christi had some great pics to share with us
also – Good Luck on the Calendar Christi.
