J. D. Evans

Notes from Larry Perry:

JD was his name on his birth certificate.

When he went to register for the Army, they told him he had to have a name. He went home and told his mom his delima. She told him to go back and tell them his name was James Daniel. He was never called to war because he was a farmer by trade and when he died, JD is on his tomb stone.

He is buried in the Memorial Cemetary in Pleasant View. He was one of the (Four), JD, Jim Walker, Johnny Perry and Larry Perry. J.D. Burial: Cheatham Memorial, Pleasant View,TN
