"My direct ancestors include John G. Boyd and his Father Micajah Boyd referenced in your family entries. I thought that you might want to be made aware that the Boyds and Eppersons moved from Halifax County, Virginia to Callaway County, Missouri, date as yet undetermined. Micajah Boyd died in Callaway County, Missouri in 1860. John G. Boyd died in Callaway County, 25 March 1875. Martha (Epperson) Boyd died in Callaway County, date as yet undetermined. Richard Epperson died in Callaway County, 09 October 1886. Mary (Stewart) Epperson death, date and place as yet undetermined. The area in Callaway County in which the Epperson/Boyd families settled, in fact essentially the entire county, is primarily populated by transplants from Halifax County, Virginia. Many of these family names include Epperson, Boyd, Chappell, Rickey, Reynolds, Jones, Owen, Irvine, Basinger, Branch, and many more."
