NOTES: IRBY PLACE, a 1,000 Acre Farm belonged to SAMUEL H. IRBY and his wife ELIZABETH. It was located primarily in Gibson County, Tennessee. Some of it may have spilled over into Carroll County, Tennessee. It was handed down to his son, JAMES L. (JIM) IRBY and then to JAMES L. IRBY'S son, JAMES IRBY, born January 18, 1884 in Hope Hill, Gibson County, Tennessee. Tennessee is a rural area near Medina and it is very near the Carroll County, Tennessee line. Madison, Carroll, and Gibson counties all come together like a 3-leaf clover.
