William Henry was my great uncle.
In his bible, it says that Ellen died in 1917 at Cinncinatti, Ohio.
They had one child, Jane Elizabeth Henry born in Clarksville, Tennessee....
After Ellen's death, Uncle Willie as we called him, moved to Florence, Alabama and married Mattie Vessel. They moved to Evansville, Indiana. My mother has told me that Jane was round 20 yrs old when she married, became pregnant, took pneumonia during the pregnancy and died. She is buried somewhere around Evansville.I finally got Ellen McCarty Henry's death Certificate. She died at Cinncinatti, Ohio at St Mary's Hospital. Info goes as. She was born May 26, 1897 in Tennessee Her father is J (rest is unreadable) McCarty mother's maiden name Lenora Freeman She died Dec 1, 1917 and is buried in Clarksville, Tn. Name of undertaker is E. J. Neidhard. Seems as though Doctor's scribbled back then the same as they do now, but it looks like the cause of death is Pnerperol Septicernia, what ever that is. It also says that she was a resident of the state for 6 months.
