Hunt, chairman of the County Court of Cheatham County, by the direction of the Court, and in their behalf as hereby bind Sarah Ann Binkley, an orphan of the age of seven years, to William E. Felts, with him to live and work, as an apprenticeuntil she attain the age of eighteen years, during which time said Sarah Ann Binkley, shall obey the lawful commands and faithfully serve the said William E. Felts, and be respects to his authority and control according to law, and her duty as an apprentice, and the said William E. Felts, on his part, convenants that he will teach and instruct the said Sarah Ann Binkley, in the trade and occupation of domestic duties and learn her to read and write, or cause the same be done, if she have sufficient capacity, and he will also constantly find for the said Sarah Ann Binkley, sufficient diet, lodging, washing and apparel and other necessaries, suited to an apprentice, both in sickness and health, and also to take care of her morals, and treat her with humanity, and at the end of her time, give her full and decent suit of clothes, and also the sum of twenty dollars in money, this 6th day of June 1859.
