W. H. MASON, et al, Deed, To John W. MORGAN

 

We have this day and date bargained, sold, and do hereby transfer and convey to John W. MORGAN, for and in the consideration of four hundred dollars to us in hand paid, the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged, being fifty a share for our undivided interest in the lands of Thomas PERRY deceased, situated in the 11th District of Sumner County, Tennessee and on the waters of Rouges Fork of Bledsoes Creek, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a rock; thence N 43  degrees W 60 poles to a stake on side of the branch; N 54 degrees W. 49 poles to a rock Beech pointers; thence S. 20 degrees W. 7 poles to a rock in John KEY line; then with his line S. 1 degree W. 38 poles to a beach; thence N. 89  W. 43  poles to a hickory; thence S. 1 degree W. 8 poles to an ash; thence S. 50 degrees E. 20 poles to a stake; thence S. 5 degrees E. 32 poles to a stake; thence S. 7  W. 74 poles to a sycamore; thence S. 30 W. 26 poles to a stake near gate; thence S. 34 degrees W. 18 poles to an oak; thence East 28 poles to a ---------; thence South 18 poles to a Beech; thence S. 89  E. 85  poles to a stake in MORGANS line near a rock fence; thence with MORGANS line North 158 poles to the beginning containing 114  acres be the same more or less, to have and to hold to the said John W. MORGAN the above described tract or parcel of land, with all the appurtenances belonging thereto. We convenient with the said MORGAN, that are possessed of said land and have a good right to convey the said interests in said land described above. We further covenant with said MORGAN that our interests in said land is unencumbered. We bind ourselves, heirs, and legal representatives to forever warrant and defend the right and title of our undivided interests in the land herein conveyed against the lawful claims of all persons whatever. PERRY, and Frank PARKER, all of whom I am personally acquainted and acknowledged that they signed the foregoing deed for the purposes therein expressed. Also appeared before me Emily J. MASON, Martha PERRY, and Rosa PARKER separate and apart from their husbands, W. H. MASON, Lucilius PERRY, and Frank PARKER, all of whom I am personally acquainted and acknowledged that they signed the foregoing deed freely voluntarily and understandingly, and without constraint or compulsion from their said husbands, and for the purposes therein expressed. Witness my hand and seal this January 16th 1893.
